Honda Clinches 12th INDYCAR SERIES Manufacturers' Title

Honda and Honda Racing Corporation USA clinched the NTT INDYCAR SERIES manufacturers' title after the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250 on Sunday, 30 years after Honda's first American open-wheel championship.

This is Honda's 12th INDYCAR SERIES manufacturers’ title. Its previous championships came in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005, a four-year consecutive run from 2018 to 2021 and 2025.

Honda-powered drivers have won 10 of the first 16 races this season, including Felix Rosenqvist capturing the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge for Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian.

The manufacturer has visited victory lane this season on all four types of circuits offered by the series – road courses, short ovals, superspeedways and street circuits – and has swept the podium in five races. Honda also has earned a series-high 13 poles in 2026.

The manufacturer was especially effective on street circuits, sweeping all six races contested on those courses. The biggest street-circuit win for Honda arguably came when Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood won the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., on Aug. 23, the first-ever motor race around the National Mall and famous monuments and buildings in the nation’s capital.
