Williams scores 17, UT Arlington knocks off SFA 71-63 in OT

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Makaih Williams had 17 points in UT Arlington's 71-63 overtime win against SFA on Saturday night.

Williams was 4 of 12 shooting, including 3 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line for the Mavericks (12-12, 7-6 Western Athletic Conference). Aaron Cash scored 12 points while finishing 5 of 6 from the floor, and added seven rebounds. DaJuan Gordon scored 12.

Kyle Hayman led the way for the 'Jacks (14-10, 7-6) with 18 points and seven rebounds. Latrell Jossell added 14 points and three steals for SFA. In addition, Jalil Beaubrun finished with 11 points and three blocks.

The Mavericks next play Thursday against Tarleton State at home. SFA hosts Abilene Christian on Saturday.
