WASHINGTON (AP) — Tyler Tejada's 35 points led Towson over Hampton 74-68 on Saturday night in the second round of the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament.
No. 7 seed Towson (18-14) will move on to face second-seeded Charleston on Sunday.
Tejada also had six rebounds for the Tigers. Dylan Williamson scored 20 points, shooting 8 for 16 (3 for 6 from 3-point range).
Michael Eley led No. 10 seed Hampton (13-19) with 23 points. Daniel Johnson added 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Hampton. Etienne Strothers finished with 11 points.
Towson went into halftime leading Hampton 30-17. Tejada put up 12 points in the half.
