Nelson propels Arkansas State to 87-68 victory over UAB

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Izaiyah Nelson had 17 points in Arkansas State's 87-68 victory over UAB on Saturday.

Nelson added seven rebounds and three steals for the Red Wolves (3-7). Avery Felts scored 15 points, shooting 5 for 8 from beyond the arc. Taryn Todd was 5 of 11 shooting (2 for 3 from 3-point range) to finish with 13 points.

The Blazers (4-5) were led in scoring by Yaxel Lendeborg, who finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. Efrem Johnson added 12 points for UAB. Tony Toney also recorded 10 points.
