Huffman scores 29, Nicholls St. beat Northwestern St. 77-63
THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — Caleb Huffman's 29 points helped Nicholls State defeat Northwestern State 77-63 on Saturday night.
Huffman also contributed six rebounds for the Colonels (8-9, 3-2 Southland Conference). Pierce Spencer added 14 points while going 5 of 8 (3 for 5 from distance), and he also had five rebounds. Lance Amir-Paul recorded 13 points and was 4-of-8 shooting and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.
Ja'Monta Black led the Demons (10-8, 2-3) in scoring, finishing with 18 points. Northwestern State also got 11 points and eight rebounds from Isaac Haney. Dayne Prim also had 11 points.

These two teams both play Thursday. Nicholls State hosts McNeese while Northwestern State visits Southeastern Louisiana.
