French's 26 lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff over Champion Christian 116-73
PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — Joe French's 26 points helped Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeat Champion Christian 116-73 on Thursday night.
French added nine rebounds and six assists for the Golden Lions (1-1). Rashad Williams scored 25 points while shooting 10 for 16, including 5 for 8 from beyond the arc. Kylen Milton had 22 points and was 9 of 11 shooting, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 2 for 3 from the line.
Ariyon Williams led the Tigers in scoring, finishing with 24 points and two steals. Malik Laurent added 16 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Champion Christian. KJ Younge also had 15 points and four steals.
