Dyson scores 23 as Bethune-Cookman knocks off Southern 67-61

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Dhashon Dyson's 23 points helped Bethune-Cookman defeat Southern 67-61 on Saturday night.

Dyson also had eight rebounds for the Wildcats (15-14, 10-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Zion Harmon scored 23 points and added three steals. Jakobi Heady had five points and shot 2 for 9, including 0 for 4 from beyond the arc.

The Jaguars (16-12, 10-5) were led by Derrick Tezeno, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Southern also got 11 points and three steals from Jariyon Wilkens. In addition, Tidjiane Dioumassi finished with eight points, 11 assists and two steals.
