Cotton puts up 17, VMI beats Christendom 87-53
LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) — Koree Cotton's 17 points helped VMI defeat Christendom 87-53 on Thursday night.
Cotton shot 5 for 10 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 4 of 5 from the free throw line for the Keydets (1-1). Tyran Cook scored 13 points while finishing 6 of 8 from the floor, and added seven rebounds. Stephen Olowoniyi shot 5 of 6 from the field and 1 for 4 from the line to finish with 11 points, while adding six rebounds.
John Paul Vander Woude led the way for the Crusaders with 16 points and seven rebounds. Peter Ethridge added 12 points for Christendom. Bobby Vander Woude also had seven points.
