Banks scores 12 as Illinois State beats Eastern Illinois 69-61

NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Dalton Banks and Luke Kasubke each scored 12 points as Illinois State beat Eastern Illinois 69-61 on Wednesday night.

Banks was 2 of 9 shooting and 8 of 10 from the free throw line for the Redbirds (2-1). Kasubke scored 12 points while shooting 4 for 5, including 4 for 4 from beyond the arc. Myles Foster was 5 of 8 shooting to finish with 11 points, while adding 10 rebounds.

Nakyel Shelton finished with 22 points for the Panthers (1-3). Dan Luers added 12 points for Eastern Illinois. In addition, Jaylin Gibson finished with nine points.
