Achor has 25 as Samford takes down Louisiana-Lafayette 88-65
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Achor Achor's 25 points helped Samford defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 88-65 on Thursday night.
Achor had eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (6-2). A.J. Staton-McCray scored 22 points while shooting 6 for 9 (2 for 3 from 3-point range) and 8 of 10 from the free throw line, and added seven rebounds and four steals. Jaden Campbell was 6 of 12 shooting, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 5 for 5 from the line to finish with 19 points. It was the sixth straight win for the Bulldogs.
Kobe Julien led the Ragin' Cajuns (5-3) in scoring, finishing with 29 points and six rebounds. Joe Charles added 10 points for Louisiana-Lafayette. Kyran Ratliff also had seven points.
