Won't debut Tuesday Sykes (recently traded) will not debut Tuesday against the Lynx and is expected to join the team Wednesday, Bella Munson of The IX Basketball reports.
Impact As expected, Sykes won't make her Storm debut Tuesday after being traded to Seattle earlier in the day. In 25 games with the Mystics this season, the guard averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals. Her first opportunity to suit up for the Storm will come Friday against the Aces.

Headed to Seattle Seattle is acquiring Sykes from Washington in exchange for Alysha Clark, Zia Cooke and a 2026 first-round draft pick.
Impact Sykes is set to join the Storm to bolster their backcourt alongside Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler. Sykes has averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 31.0 minutes per game over 25 appearances for the Mystics this season, and it's possible she'll hang onto a starting role with her new team.

Struggles with just six points Sykes finished with six points (3-9 FG, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals over 26 minutes during Sunday's 99-83 loss to the Dream.
Impact While the Mystics shot a respectable 49.2 percent from the field, Sykes didn't contribute much to that number. She has scored eight or fewer points in three of the past four games, and Sykes is averaging just 8.0 points, 3.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals during the four-game span.

Struggles with shot in home loss Sykes supplied eight points (3-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 27 minutes during Thursday's 68-67 loss to Golden State.
Impact Sykes had a tough shooting night, misfiring eight times. She has missed more field-goal attempts than she has made in five of the past six games, and 10 of the previous 12 appearances. Her scoring has been a bit erratic lately, but she has been a steady contributor with 4.4 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game in the past five outings.
