Just misses double-double
Sykes notched 21 points (6-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-10 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 83-77 win over the Fever.
Impact
Sykes was a little shaky on the offensive end, but she made it to the free-throw line a game-high 10 times, converting eight times. Sykes was tremendous on the glass, too, leading the Mystics with nine rebounds, just missing a double-double by one board, while also contributing a pair of blocked shots.

Questionable to play Sunday
Sykes (leg) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Mercury, Jenn Hatfield of The Next reports.
Impact
Sykes was a late scratch for Friday's game against the Aces due to a right leg injury, and the questionable tag suggests a call on her status will probably be made closer to Sunday's 6 p.m. ET tipoff. If Sykes is unable to go, then Jade Melbourne could take her place in the starting lineup once again.

Delivers 22-point effort in win
Sykes had 22 points (6-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-12 FT), three rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Friday's 94-90 win over the Dream.
Impact
Even though most of the attention was centered around the play of the two rookies who started in the season opener, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron, Sykes was the player who stepped up and carried the team offensively in this season-opening win. Sykes experienced a spike in her usage rate due to the absences of Shakira Austin (leg) and Aaliyah Edwards (back), and she responded with a solid showing across the board.

Sykes led the way for the Mystics on the offensive end and had one of the best scoring performances in the entire game.
