Impact While it wasn't the result he was looking for, it was a perfectly reasonable performance from Elliott against a quality opponent in enemy territory. He won Round 1 on all three scorecards on the strength of two successful takedowns, but Elliott's grappling game was nowhere to be found the rest of the way and it ended up costing him a decision. He went 0-for-8 on takedowns over the course of the final two rounds, allowing Erceg to open up an insurmountable lead on the feet. Elliott will be 40 years old on Christmas Eve but he's proven capable of giving highly-ranked opposition competitive fights in the latter stage of his career.
