Looks to stay hot vs. Horiguchi Ulanbekov will take on Kyoji Horiguchi in a flyweight bout at UFC Qatar on Nov. 22, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Ulanbekov is red hot in the UFC right now. He's won four straight bouts, with his most recent victory coming against Azat Maksum via unanimous decision in June. That pushed his record in the promotion to 6-1, and he'll look to add to that sparkling resume against a fighter in Horiguchi who hasn't fought in the UFC since 2016, but has a 7-1 record in the promotion.

Picks up fourth straight win Ulanbekov defeated Azat Maksum via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Impact It was an underwhelming performance from Ulanbekov from start to finish and one in which he was lucky to win as a -500 favor. A grappler by trade, Tagir failed on all eight of his takedown attempts. He was able to use his upper-body strength to pin Maksum along the fence for long stretches at a time, but he landed very little offense from that position. Ulanbekov closed with a 68-62 edge in significant strikes landed. It was a much closer result than the scorecards indicate. Tagir has won four in a row and six of seven with the UFC, meaning he's on the verge of earning some important fights in a thin flyweight division.

New opponent for UFC Baku Ulanbekov is scheduled against Azat Maksum for a flyweight fight at UFC Baku on June 21, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact For the Baku event, Ulanbekov's initial opponent was Kyoji Horiguchi (undisclosed). It is clear that an undisclosed problem caused him to withdraw from June 21's card. Ulanbekov's new opponent is looking to bounce back after an early-2024 loss to Charles Johnson.
