Impact Sadykhov immediately protested the stoppage, but he had been dropped by a big right hand and eaten several unanswered hammerfists before referee Rich Mitchell had to step in to call things off. It wasn't a great look for the betting favorite of roughly (-200), who was handed his second straight loss in his home country. It's back to the drawing board for the 32-year-old.

Looks to bounce back in Baku Sadykhov will take on Matheus Camilo in a lightweight matchup at UFC Baku on June 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Sadykhov recently had an April fight against Marquel Mederos canceled, but his time on the sidelines ultimately won't last long. He's coming off his first ever UFC loss to Fares Ziam and now sports a 4-1-1 record under the UFC banner (11-2-1 overall). It was his takedown defense that was tested against Ziam, and while Camilo is just 1-1 in the UFC, he's amassed seven combined takedowns, including five in his most recent victoruy over Slava Borschev. Striking volume and accuracy numbers favor Sadykhov, so it will be in his best interest to keep things upright.

Impact An undisclosed problem has rendered Sadykov out of UFC 327 just under a month before the scheduled card. In place of him against Mederos is Chris Padilla. For the promotion, Sadykov is 4-1-1.

Impact Sadykhov, who is coming off a loss against Fares Ziam in December, will look to get back on track against Marquel Mederos in April. The 31-year from Azerbijan is 4-1-1 during his time with the UFC.

Impact Ziam might be really good, but it would have been nice to see Sadykhov be a bit more competitive in this spot considering he entered with four straight stoppage victories (plus a majority draw) on his resume. He was unable to get anything going offensively, giving up two takedowns, 5:58 worth of control time, and landing just four significant strikes in the nearly 10 minutes the fight lasted. The 31-year-old has earned the benefit of the doubt with all of his good work the past two-plus years, but Sadykhov needs a rebound performance his next time out.

Impact The first of three fighters on this card from Azerbaijan, Sadykhov (and Motta) put on quite a show in front of the hometown crowd. Both men spent the entire bout winging bombs at each other. It appeared Nazim would be finished late in Round 1 after he was pinned along the fence eating countless unanswered blows and not responding, but he finally came to and worked his way back in the fight. One final combination late in Round 2 put Motta away for good and sent the crowd into a frenzy. Sadykhov has been impressive since joining the UFC roster back in February 2023, going 4-0-1, with all four of the wins coming via stoppage (three knockouts, one submission).
