Impact It was far from pretty, but Buday was able to earn his seventh win in eight UFC appearances. Knowing full well the mat exploits of his opponent, Buday sold out to defend the takedown. He did it well, stuffing 10-of-11 shots. Neither man accomplished very much on the feet, but Buday continued to push forward and throw, while Almeida essentially stood around and did nothing. That was enough for the Slovakian to emerge victorious. Buday is a below-average athlete and he lacks ideal power for a heavyweight, but it's impossible to argue with the results of late.

Facing UFC newcomer Buday will take on Marcus Almeida in a heavyweight bout at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Buday is coming off two straight victories, most recently taking down Uran Satybaldiev via unanimous decision back on April 5. He'll face a newcomer in Almeida who has spent time with ONE Championship and went 5-1 with that promotion.

Impact Originally scheduled to face Kennedy Nzechukwu here, Buday agreed to the opponent change on Thursday. He got the job done, but was unimpressive in the process. Outweighing the debuting Satybaldiev by at least 40 pounds, Buday did just enough work on the feet to complement his typical wall-and-stall tactics. The Slovakian was credited with 5:06 worth of control time, which entirely consisted of pinning Satybaldiev up against the cage. Buday lacks power and athleticism which is a bad combination for a heavyweight. That said, he's 6-1 in his first seven UFC bouts, albeit all against lower-end competition.

Impact On extremely short notice, Buday has a new opponent for Saturday's event in Las Vegas. Kennedy Nzechukwu (undisclosed) was dropped from the fight, and Uran Satybaldiev is stepping up to make his UFC debut. Satybaldiev last fought (and won) in the Legacy Fighting Alliance on March 6, so it's also an extra short turnaround for him. The two fighters are the same height, but Buday has a three-inch disadvantage in reach.
