Impact Zecchini hadn't fought since September 2023 and entered as a +600 underdog, so this was very much the expected outcome. To his credit, he attempted to constantly pressure McMillen in search of a finish, but it just wasn't meant to be. Most fighters tend to get three fights with the company before the UFC moves on, but when you combine his inactivity (Zecchini had major shoulder surgery in the past) with the fact he's suffered back-to-back first-round knockout defeats to begin his run with the company, Zecchini's roster spot doesn't feel secure.
