Impact It was a strong performance from Sygula in her second UFC bout and one that was difficult to see coming. Massively aided by the fact Alekseeva refused to try to grapple, Sygula was able to stand at distance and pick her opponent apart on the feet. She closed with a 101-63 edge in total strikes landed in addition to connecting on her only takedown attempt in Round 3. Still just 26 years of age, Sygula is young enough to be making improvements on a fight-by-fight basis. We'll see if she can carry this momentum over to her next bout.
