Brief winning streak snapped Sygula lost to Nora Cornolle via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.

Impact Entering on a two-fight winning streak, this was a clear step backwards for Sygula, mostly in terms of her fight IQ. She likely would have had a striking edge over Cornolle at distance, but her constant need to recklessly close the distance allowed her opponent to engage the clinch repeatedly, eliminating virtually all of Sygula's effectiveness in the process. Giving up a handful of takedowns didn't help matters, either. Sygula is sporting a .500 record through her first four UFC appearances.

Attempting for three Sygula will fight fellow bantamweight Nora Cornolle at UFC Paris on Sept. 5, according to Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports.

Impact For back-to-back fights, Sygula outlasted opponents, separately defeating both Irina Aleksseeva and Priscila Cachoeira via unanimous decision. Momentum is on Sygula's side, not only because of the two-fight winning streak but also because of Cornolle's two-fight losing streak.

Picks up second straight win Sygula defeated Priscila Cachoeira via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Impact The UFC gave Sygula a freebee here, and to her credit, she took advantage, even if she wasn't particularly impressive in doing so. All you have to do to defeat Cachoeira is fire off plenty of volume because she doesn't defend herself on the feet. Sygula did just that, attempting 349 total strikes, landing 159 of them. She never really had the Brazilian in significant trouble, but the result was also never in doubt, either. Sygula will take a two-fight winning streak into her next fight, which will come against a more difficult opponent.

Pulls upset for first UFC win Sygula defeated Irina Alekseeva via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Impact It was a strong performance from Sygula in her second UFC bout and one that was difficult to see coming. Massively aided by the fact Alekseeva refused to try to grapple, Sygula was able to stand at distance and pick her opponent apart on the feet. She closed with a 101-63 edge in total strikes landed in addition to connecting on her only takedown attempt in Round 3. Still just 26 years of age, Sygula is young enough to be making improvements on a fight-by-fight basis. We'll see if she can carry this momentum over to her next bout.

Next fight on deck Sygula will fight Irina Alekseeva at UFC Baku on June 21, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Sygula dropped her UFC debut fight via TKO (punches) back in November. She'll have an opportunity to rebound against Alekseeva, who will be fighting for the first time since October of 2023 after receiving a one-year suspension from the UFC.
