Steps in on short notice Yannis will take on Marcus McGhee at UFC Vegas 118 on June 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact McGhee was initially booked against Jakub Wiklacz, but the latter is unable to compete for currently undisclosed reasons. Now, Yannis will step in with a little less than a month to prepare, and he'll look to build off his victory over Jamie Siraj back in April, which was his first ever win in the UFC.

Bounces back in big way Yannis defeated Jamie Siraj via TKO (punches and elbows) at 2:43 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 273 on Saturday in Winnipeg.

Impact Yannis struggled mightily with a slick wrestler in Austin Bashii in his UFC debut, but Siraj never got a chance to work his grappling, as Yannis tagged him from range early with a big shot. Siraj tried to survive, but Yannis effortlessly defended his desperation takedown attempts and pounded him out on the mat. "The Juice" has always been heavy-handed, but he will need to work on his wrestling defense if he wants to succeed at bantamweight. He improved to 10-4-0 in professional MMA due to the win.

Fighting at UFC Winnipeg Yannis will take on Jamie Siraj in a featherweight matchup at UFC Winnipeg on Saturday.

Impact Yannis is looking to bounce back from a dreadful debut in which he was submitted by Austin Bashi in the first round without landing a single significant strike. He draws a newcomer in Siraj who is fresh off back-to-back submission wins in the Vancouver-based Battlefield Fight League. Both men line up relatively equally in both age and experience.

Taps early as massive underdog Yannis lost to Austin Bashi via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:39 of Round 1 at UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday.

Impact Yannis gets a bit of a break here for taking this fight on short notice and entering as the largest betting underdog on the card, but this one was arguably over before it started. Yannis ate a big hook early and came up empty in his attempts at return fire. Before he know it, Bashi completed a successful single-leg takedown and was giving up his back moments later. Yannis should get another shot with the company due to his willingness to "save" this fight, but not much should be expected from the 31-year-old moving forward.
