Routed in Baku main event Hill lost to Khalil Rountree via unanimous decision (45-50, 45-50, 46-49) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Impact Hill can't get out of his own way at the moment and it's becoming a massive problem. He simply offered nothing for Rountree in this fight in what was a 25-minute kickboxing match. Hill ended up on the short end of a 102-69 total in significant strikes landed, in addition to being knocked down in Round 3. Hill still doesn't appear to be moving all that well, which may or may not be related to a serious Achilles injury he suffered in the past. Regardless, few UFC champions in recent memory have struggled as badly as Hill right after winning the title. Jamahal has lost three in a row, two knockouts and this lopsided unanimous decision, since taking the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship off Glover Teixeira back in January 2023.

Impact The 6-foot-4 light heavyweight will finally get his fight against Rountree as the pair were meant to headline in Kansas City. Hill is coming off a two-match losing streak, after getting knocked out by Jiri Prochazka in January and Alex Pereira for a title fight last April. He'll now take on Rountree, who is also coming off a loss to Pereira which should make for an entertaining watch.
