Booked versus Salikhov Ignacio Bahamondes will face Muslim Salikhov in a lightweight bout at Noche UFC on September 12, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.

Impact Bahamondes is looking to return to the win column as he is currently on a two-fight losing streak. His last fight came back in March, dropping a unanimous decision in an upset loss to Tofiq Musayev. His opponent, Salikhov, dropped his last bout to Uros Medic after winning three fights in a row.

Upset by Tofiq Musayev Bahamondes lost to Tofiq Musayev via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-29, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.

Impact Bahamondes entered as a -335 favorite here despite the fact he was fresh off a unanimous decision loss to Rafael Fiziev last June. He had a strong opening round before it all fell apart. Ignacio found himself on the bottom in Round 2. He ate a vicious elbow from Musayev which opened up a massive cut. Bahamondes was compromised the remainder of the fight, which ended up turning into one of the bloodiest in recent memory. He somehow survived the frame and was allowed to continue in Round 3, but Ignacio never truly recovered from the blow. Time is theoretically on Bahamondes' side as he won't turn 29 years old until late August, but a 3-3 mark in his past six fights dating back to August 2023 isn't going to get the job done.

Filling in as replacement Bahamondes will face off against Tofiq Musayev at UFC Seattle on Mar. 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Bahamondes will fill in against Tofiq Musayev after Samuel Sanches withdrew from the bout due to undisclosed reasons. The 28-year-old Chilean fighter is 6-3 during his time with the UFC.

Winning streak snapped at three Bahamondes lost to Rafael Fiziev via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Impact Bahamondes entered having won three in a row, all via first-round stoppage, but this was a big ask on the road on hostile territory against a legitimately talented opponent. One of the most creative strikers in the lightweight division, Ignacio's really struggled to use his length and reach edge to his advantage. Fiziev constantly crashed the pocket, leading to four successful takedowns on four attempts. There just wasn't enough offense from the Bahamondes side to potentially win a decision. The good news is that Ignacio is still just 27 years old and has plenty of time to rebound from this setback.

Books Fiziev in June Bahamondes will take on Rafael Fiziev in a lightweight bout at UFC Baku on June 21st, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Bahamondes is the winner of three straight bouts, a streak that's pushed his UFC record to 6-2. Most recently, he disposed of Jalin Turner via Triangle Choke back in March. He'll be facing a desperate opponent in June, however, as Fiziev has lost three straight and needs to change his fortunes in the promotion soon.
