Impact When we last saw Park, he was elevated to a late-notice main event against Tatsuro Taira in early August. He was submitted in 66 seconds that evening. He was back here against Silva as a -225 favorite and arguably looked even worse. Park was battered on the feet and gave up a whopping five takedowns on nine attempts before being submitted midway through Round 3. Simply put, Park could get nothing going offensively. A lopsided loss to Taira is understandable, but this performance is much more difficult to figure out. The 29-year-old Park is in trouble at 125 pounds.

Facing Silva in Vancouver Park will take on Bruno Silva at UFC Vancouver on October 18, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Park will head into the fight looking to bounce back from his first professional defeat at the hands of Tatsuro Taira in August. The 29-year-old Korean fighter will take a height advantage into the bout in comparison to the more experienced Brazilian. Park has impressive records in both KO/TKO and submission finishes across his professional career but will have his hands full with the balanced professional record of Silva.

Impact Full marks to Park for taking this fight against a serious contender on short notice, but he was clearly overmatched here. He spent nearly the entirety of the first round (4:41) getting controlled by Taira, and the finish came early in Round 2. He landed just three significant strikes the entire bout. The Road to the UFC Flyweight Champion had won his first two official fights with the company, so while his momentum is halted, this is a setback the 29-year-old can ultimately afford.

Short-notice fight against Taira Park is scheduled to compete against Tatsuro Taira in a flyweight fight at UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday, UFC.com reports.

Impact Initally, UFC Vegas 108 was scheduled to be headlined by Taira and Amir Albazi (undisclosed). Albazi is out, meaning Taira needed a new opponent to headline the aforementioned event. Park will take the five-round fight, and in doing so, he has a prime opportunity to enter the upper echelon of the promotion's flyweight rankings. Taira sits at No. 6 with a 6-1 UFC record, his lone loss a split-decision defeat to Brandon Royval.

Impact Fighting for the first time since December 2023, Park made quick work of Hernandez in what was a rout. He landed an easy takedown in the early going before transitioning to the rear-naked choke without issue. The 29-year-old Park is now 10-0 in his professional career with nine wins via stoppage. There's literally nothing negative to say outside of the fact he hasn't been active. He should try to get back in the octagon as soon as possible considering he absorbed zero damage in this fight.
