Easily handles newcomer Marshall defeated Lucas Brennan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Impact Marshall found himself as one of the biggest favorites on the card (-500) for a second straight fight and he once again rolled, although this fight took the entire 15 minutes, unlike his first-round submission win over Erik Silva in February. Francis kept things remarkably simple, limiting Brennan's space and leaning on his grappling game. All it took was a pair of successful takedowns and 6:36 worth of control time to cruise to the decision win. It's hard to say Marshall deserves a step up in competition considering he's just 4-3 in his first seven UFC fights, but he has considerably more talent than that record would lead you to believe.

Taking on newcomer Marshall will face Lucas Brennan in a lightweight bout at UFC Vegas 116, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Marshall is coming off a bounce-back win over Erik Silva via rear naked choke back in February. The New Jersey native currently sits at 3-3 in the UFC, and will get a chance to notch win No. 4 against a fighter in Brennan who is making his promotional debut.

Impact Marshall has had a tough time of late, with losses in three of his prior four fights including a pair via split decision. The company gave him a layup here as a -850 favorite and he took full advantage. Marshall landed about the easiest takedown you will ever see before twisting Silva around, taking his back and choking him out. Still just 26 years old, Marshall has far more talent than his 3-3 career mark with the UFC will lead you to believe. He's going to face a stiffer test his next time out.

Booked for UFC Mexico Marshall will fight Erik Silva at UFC Mexico on Feb. 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Marshall's loss to Mairon Santos in March marked his third defeat in his last four fights and caused him to drop to 2-3 in the UFC. He'll now aim to get back to .500 while taking on an opponent 12 years his senior who has fought just twice in the last four years, losing both times.

He'll look to even his record in the promotion against a fighter in Bashi who's coming off a loss in his first UFC bout. Marshall has three inches of height and two inches of reach on his opponent.
