Impact Wang will aim to take advantage of Cortez's recent struggles, as she has dropped two of her last three fights at the flyweight level. Wang, on the other hand, has won her previous three bouts and is trending in the right direction. Her age (34) might be an issue, but on paper, she should be the favorite against a struggling opponent in Cortez.

Impact In a battle of two fighters that missed weight on Friday morning, it was Wang that emerged victorious. It didn't come easy despite entering as a -340 favorite. Wang gave up three takedowns and 8:06 worth of control time, both highly concerning numbers for a 15-minute bout. She stole Round 1 with a late knockdown and won Round 3 after Moura gassed out attempting to grapple over and over. The outcome appeared really lopsided by the end, but a good chunk of this fight was pretty competitive. Wang will be 34 years of age in May but has just 10 professional fights under her belt because she picked the sport up so late. Her technical striking skills are strong, but the rest remains a major work in progress.

Upcoming fight at catchweight Wang is scheduled to compete against Eduarda Moura in a catchweight fight at UFC Vegas 113 on Saturday, MMA Junkie reports.

Not only will she pick up her show and win bonuses, but she'll also walk away with 25 percent of Lipski's purse after the latter missed weight by six pounds on Friday morning. Inside the octagon, Wang cruised as a -600 favorite. She simply out waited Lipski on the feet, closing with a 143-63 edge in significant strikes landed. The result was never in doubt. Wang has now won back-to-back fights on the heels of her shocking submission defeat to Gabriella Fernandez last November.

Opponent misses weight Wang's opponent at UFC 316, Ariane Lipski, missed weight by a whopping six pounds at weigh-ins, per MMAJunkie.com.

Impact Lipski checked in at 132 pounds for her bout with Wang, a staggering six pounds over the limit. At this point, that seems like a bit much for this fight to proceed even at a catchweight, but no decision from the UFC has been made quite yet.
