No longer with UFC Brasil was removed from the UFC roster Tuesday, according to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com.
Impact Brasil wasn't competitive in the defeat to Alexia Thainara on March 28 in Seattle, and since she was utterly dominated, it's not surprising to see her being removed from the roster. Bruna had dropped three of her last four bouts dating back to Feb. 2025 before this release.
APRIL 1 • ROTOWIRE
Not competitive in Seattle opener Brasil lost to Alexia Thainara via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
Impact To say Brasil was dominated in every area of this fight would be a massive understatement. She allowed six takedowns to Thainara and lost the total strike battle by a 137-72 count. Bruna was simply unable to handle the physicality of her opponent at the point of attack. Brasil actually defeated Thainara when the two first fought back in November 2019, but both women are clearly far different competitors at this point. Bruna has lost three of four dating back to February 2025 and needs a win by any means necessary her next time out.
MARCH 28 • ROTOWIRE
Steps in as replacement Brasil will be facing Alexia Thainara at UFC Seattle on March 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
Impact Brasil will look for a bounce-back performance after she lost against Ketlen Souza in Las Vegas on Feb. 7 this year. Brasil has alternated losses and wins in the first seven UFC fights, going 3-4.
MARCH 4 • ROTOWIRE
Drops decision in Vegas Brasil lost to Ketlen Souza via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Impact It was about as low-event of a bout as you will see, with the main highlights being referee Herb Dean repeatedly breaking things up along the fence. Brasil's best round was the first. She won the significant strike battle that frame by a 12-5 count and landed her only takedown attempt. It was a massive struggle the rest of the way. Souza made things a slog, racking up a ton of standing control time and Brasil had no real response. Literally the most inconsistent fighter in the company, Bruna has alternated losses and wins in her first seven UFC bouts. The good news is that she should be in line for a victory her next time out.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Fighting Souza in February Brasil will take on Ketlen Souza at a UFC event in Las Vegas on February 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
Impact Brasil will head into the bout looking to bounce back after her most recent loss in UFC play to Cong Wang in February. The 32-year-old Brazilian will take advantages in both height and reach into the fight compared to the younger Souza. With six of her 11 professional victories coming via decision, Brazil will likely look to take this one the distance, though she will have to remain wary of the stopping power of Souza (8-2 professional record via KO/TKO).
DECEMBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Fight moved to new date Brasil's fight against Shi Ming has been moved from Aug. 23 to Aug. 22, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
Impact In what can only be described as an odd move, the UFC is having main-roster fighters headlining a "Road to UFC" event. This means the Brasil vs. Ming fight will not be part of the main card of UFC Shanghai but instead will headline another company event. The 31-year-old Brazilian holds a record of 2-3 during her time with the UFC.
JUNE 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Next fight booked Brasil will face off against Shi Ming at UFC Shanghai on Aug. 23, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
Impact Brasil, who was most recently taken down by Cong Wang in February, will look to get back on track against Shi Ming in August. The 31-year-old Brazilian currently holds a record of 2-3 during her time with the UFC.
