Fight with Johnson called off Hernandez will no longer fight Michael Johnson at UFC 324 on Saturday after the bout was called off for unspecified reasons, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.

Impact Speculation swirled that something was amiss when heavy betting line movement began occurring on Friday, which saw Hernandez fall from around a (-140) favorite to a (+110) underdog. There has been no word on any kind of injury to Hernandez, nor has the UFC commented on the situation, which has sent the card down to 11 fights.

Added to first UFC Paramount event Hernandez will take on Michael Johnson in a lightweight matchup at UFC 324 on Jan. 24, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Riding a four-fight winning streak with back-to-back stoppage wins, Hernandez now draws another hot opponent in Johnson, who has put together a three-fight winning streak of his own. Hernandez will give up slight height and reach advantages here, but he does have a small edge in terms of volume striking.

Stellar run continues Hernandez defeated Carlos Diego Ferreira via TKO (punches) at 3:46 of Round 2 at UFC Noche on Saturday in San Antonio.

Impact It's another massive stoppage win for Hernandez, who finally seems to be putting it all together at age 32. Fighting in front of friends and family in his native San Antonio, Alex crushed Ferreira with a right hand to the temple. There wasn't much happening either way at the time the blow landed, but the one huge shot served to floor Ferreira and essentially end the fight in an instant. Hernandez has won four straight in the span of the past 11 months, including knockouts of Ferreira and Chase Hooper in his past two bouts. He's clearly trending in the right direction.

Slated to face Ferreira Hernandez will take on Carlos Diego Ferreira in a lightweight bout at Noche UFC in San Antonio on Sept. 13, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Hernandez got off to a rough start to his UFC career, but he's on a bit of a hot streak after winning his last three fights. Most recently, he bested Chase Hooper in the first round of a fight back in August. He'll now look for win number 10 and his fourth victory in a row against a fighter in Ferreira who will be looking to bounce back coming off a loss.

Statement win in Chicago Hernandez defeated Chase Hooper via TKO (punches) at 4:58 of Round 1 at UFC 319 on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.

Impact Hernandez's speed and power were on full display in this one, as he made his longer opponent chase him around the cage before popping him with crisp counters. "The Great" remained locked in towards the end of the round, finding the perfect shot that almost twisted Hooper's head around. Hernandez has the raw tools to trouble anyone on the right night, but he has shown lapses in consistency throughout his career. He has now won three fights in a row, however, which may signal that the 32-year-old has figured something out. Hernandez improved to 17-8-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.
