Following a timeout, Rebecca Greenwell sank a long 2-pointer with her toe on the line to give Duke a 52-51 lead with 2:36 left but the Blue Devils didn't make another field goal. Nelson made a hook in the lane as NC State grabbed the lead 53-52.
Duke called a timeout with 23.5 seconds left, trailing by one. Lexie Brown missed a desperation 3-pointer on a broken play and NC State grabbed the rebound at 5.2. Wilson hit two free throws for a three-point lead. Kyra Lambert was fouled away from the basket with 2.4 seconds left as Duke wasn't in the bonus and Greenwell stepped on the sideline.
