Ronda Rousey trains with BJ Penn ahead of UFC 184 (VIDEO)
The tales of Olympic Judo bronze medalist and current UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey training with men in the gym have always been so epic that it's a ton of fun to watch whenever a bit of video footage emerges of her doing so. The "Rowdy" one never shirks from any challenge, in the cage or on the mat, including bettering herself during training.
So that's likely why she did a bit of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sparring, or "rolling," with retired former BJJ world champ and two-division UFC champion BJ Penn in Costa Mesa, California, at the Art of Jiu Jitsu gym of brothers Guilherme and Rafael Mendes. Check out the fun footage above to see Rousey cross-train in preparation for her upcoming UFC 184 title defense main event against Cat Zingano.
Rousey looks good in taking Penn down and pressuring "The Prodigy" on the feet. It's little surprise that she would have the advantage on the feet, given her Judo expertise, even against a heavier man.
