Ronda Rousey probably won't be back until UFC 200 to focus on acting roles

When Ronda Rousey isn't preparing for a fight like she is this weekend at UFC 193, she's fielding offers from every corner of the world for projects that want her involved.

Most recently, Rousey has started pursuing an acting career with roles in several big budget features, including the billion-dollar “Fast and the Furious” franchise before picking up her own starring role remaking the cult classic “Road House”.

With such a busy agenda it's no surprise that she's ready to take an extended break following her fight this weekend against Holly Holm before heading off to Indonesia to film “Mile 22” alongside Mark Wahlberg.

"I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again," Rousey recently revealed when speaking to Rolling Stone. "I'm going to be filming (movies) in the meantime, so I'm still going to be keeping busy."

UFC 200 is currently scheduled for July 9, 2016 in Las Vegas, and Rousey would probably be the perfect candidate to headline the card, but that's after she gets some work done outside the Octagon.

In this year alone, Rousey has defended her title two times, with a third coming up this weekend, while “Furious 7” and the “Entourage” movie both opened as well. She's appeared on television in dozens of interviews, including “The Ellen Show”, “Good Morning America” and just about every nighttime talk show on the planet.

Right now, Rousey is standing tall as the biggest superstar on the planet and while it's hard for her to sit back and enjoy the spoils of war, after her fight with Holm finishes on Saturday night, she'll be able to reflect a bit more on just how crazy 2015 was for her.

"It is kind of insane but I always kind of sit back and really look at everything at once after I win," Rousey said when speaking to FOX Sports. "Leading up to a fight, I divide my attention and I'm only focusing on what is directly in front of me at the moment. It's only after a fight, after a win, that I can really afford to look at everything at once and kind of marvel at everything that's happened."

Once this fight is finished, Rousey will turn her attention to her movie career, which she's still building despite landing several big parts already. Beyond “Mile 22” and the “Road House” remake, Rousey has also scored the lead role in the biopic being developed for her life story based on her autobiography “My Fight/Your Fight”.

Rousey readily admitted that she pursued 'Road House' for the past two years, but the newest initiative involves a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where she's gunning for the part of Ms. Marvel.

As blunt as ever, Rousey doesn't mince words when asked why she wants the part so badly.

"I'd be Ms. Marvel because she's bad ass, she looks like me and she's not taken," Rousey said.

On top of movie roles, Rousey has also found her name being uttered by several WWE superstars after she mentioned in passing that she would like to one day become a Divas champion on top of all her other accolades.

Rousey already performed in WWE WrestleMania earlier this year alongside her good friend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and she's teased a possible return at some point in the near future as well.

Whether it's fighting, wrestling or acting, Rousey has plenty to keep her busy with even more opportunities on the horizon.

She'd love to get excited about all of it, but until Rousey is finished and can feel like it's a job well done, it's still hard for her to enjoy it.

"I geek out when I get stuff done, not when opportunities show up," Rousey said. "If I could actually find a way to keep juggling on this unicycle and make everything work at once then I will geek out. Having an opportunity there and having an achievement that's already been accomplished are two different things. I feel like I really don't believe anything is going to happen until it's done.

"After I went to WrestleMania and successfully did that, I was geeking out because I did it and I didn't screw up. Any further involvement, I would be excited after I did a good job, not because the opportunity to do a good job."
