Myles Jury out; several changes made to UFC Fight Night card

Published Jun. 6, 2014 1:27 p.m. ET

A change has been made to the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in San Antonio in the wake of an injury suffered by lightweight contender Myles Jury, knocking him out of his fight against Abel Trujillo on the main card of the show.

Sources close to the bout confirmed the news to FOX Sports on Friday as well as the additional changes being made to the card to compensate for Jury's loss.

Because of the injury to Jury, the UFC has opted to pull Abel Trujilo from the card entirely and rescheduled the lightweight fight for another date. Originally it was believed that Francisco Trevino would be stepping up to replace Jury, but now he's been pulled from the card as well.

With Trevino out, that leaves Johnny Case to step in and face Joe Ellenberger on the preliminary portion of the show. Case is a newcomer to the UFC, accepting the bout with Ellenberger on three week's notice. The Iowa based UFC rookie comes into the promotion current riding a seven-fight win streak.

UFC Fight Night in San Antonio is headlined by a five round main event pitting Jeremy Stephens against Cub Swanson and airs live on FOX Sports 1 on June 28.
