Anderson Silva to Jose Aldo: Please hit Conor McGregor 'a lot'

On Saturday, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will attempt to make a successful return to the Octagon after a brutal leg injury when he gets his hands on Nick Diaz. Ahead of the historic bout, however, Silva also has his mind on the next fight his friend and featherweight champ Jose Aldo has on deck, against upstart trash-talker Conor McGregor.
Silva recently told Brazilian outlet Globo that, while he thinks that McGregor is a "nice guy," he still hopes that "Scarface" will touch him up when they meet. "I am Aldo's brother until I die! Hit him a lot, Aldo! Please hit him a lot," Silva pleaded.
"The Spider" says that if he were in Aldo's weight class, he'd be scared to fight the UFC's longest-reigning champion. Furthermore, he doesn't see the Irishman as having much of a chance against Aldo.
McGregor was granted a title shot against Aldo after beating Dennis Siver via second round TKO in Boston, earlier this month. The win was his fifth straight in the UFC.
"I would run from Aldo [if he were in my weight class]. I'm no fool, I'm not crazy, dammit," Silva said.
"[McGregor] is in no shape to face Jose Aldo. How? Did you see Aldo's last fight [against Chad Mendes]? Do you think this boy will endure what [Mendes] endured against Aldo? Never."
