This free kick by Gashi is about as perfect as you will see
When you have a free kick from nearly 30 yards, you figure it will take a nearly perfect shot to score. After all, to hit it hard enough to beat the goalkeeper, but still be able to bend it over the wall isn't easy. And then there's that whole putting it in the top corner thing, which is hard enough on its own.
It's safe to say Shkelzen Gashi hit this one perfectly.
Yep, that's perfect.
The view from behind the shot is just mesmerizing. It doesn't even look real. Like only a computer generated image could put the ball on that path and put it right where Gashi hit it. But it is most definitely real and it proved to be a vital goal.
The Colorado Rapids drew the Vancouver Whitecaps, 3-3, and without Gashi's moment of brilliance they don't get a point. That's huge for a team chasing second place in the Western Conference and the knockout round bye that comes with it.
