Leslie Jones is all in on soccer, the MLS playoffs and Tim Howard

The unforeseeable typically happens in the MLS playoffs. This year's edition: SNL cast member and comedian Leslie Jones embarking on a never-ending tweet storm, declaring her love for everything from referees to Tim Howard.

Some background: Jones's love for the Beautiful Game was suddenly sparked by the sight of Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, while she diligently watched the Barcelona-Manchester City Champions League showdown–on Friday, a solid eight days after it was played.

That fervent passion for the sport, or at the very least those who play, manage and officiate it, spun out of control Sunday, during the first legs of the MLS conference semifinal matches. Rules were questioned. Howard and Alan Gordon were praised. There was more love for the managers. The NASL and Premier League made the cut. Even the children accompanying the players walking out of the tunnel were involved. Nothing was off limits.

Below is a sampling (some of her tweets contain explicit language and are not displayed here):

There's plenty more where that came from. And if this week is any indication, there will be plenty more in the future.

Welcome to the soccer bandwagon, Leslie!
