Young Bucks Tracker: March 17 edition

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Milwaukee Bucks are a young, growing team. Every Thursday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a closer look at the players that are 25 years old and younger (for the most part, those still in their first four NBA seasons), measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.

This is the 17th edition of the 2015-16 Young Bucks Tracker.

A glossary of the advanced statistics used for season totals:

PER -- Player Efficiency Rating: A measure of per-minute production standardized such that the league average is 15.

TS% -- True Shooting Percentage: A measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

USG% -- Usage Percentage: An estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

ORtg -- Offensive Rating: An estimate of points produced per 100 possessions.

DRtg -- Defensive Rating: An estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

VORP -- Value over Replacement Player: A box score estimate of the points per 100 TEAM possessions that a player contributed above a replacement-level (-2.0) player, translated to an average team and prorated to an 82-game season.

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (Age 21, third season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 16.7 points (21.3), 7.7 rebounds (9.3), 3.9 assists (9.0), 1.2 steals (1.3), 1.3 blocks (2.3), 35.4 minutes (37.7), 50.3 FG% (55.8), 21.3 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 17.7 PER, 56.1 percent TS%, 21.9 percent USG%, 107 ORtg, 106 DRtg, 2.0 VORP.

Notable: With his fourth triple-double in 11 games -- and one assist shy of making it five in 12 -- Antetokounmpo has emerged as one of the "must watch" players in the NBA every time he plays. Here's one more: via StatMuse, against Brooklyn on March 13, Antetokounmpo became the first player since at least 1985-86 (as far back as their stats go back) to have a game with at least 28 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists, four steals and two blocks. Yeah, must watch.

TYLER ENNIS (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 3.1 points (7.3), 1.0 rebounds (2.3), 1.2 assists (1.7), 0.3 steals (0.0), 0.0 blocks (0.0), 9.6 minutes (17.0), 41.9 FG% (52.9), 31.8 3PT% (20.0).

Advanced stats, season: 8.3 PER, 46.4 percent TS%, 17.3 percent USG%, 93 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.3 VORP.

Notable: After his nearly 26 minutes against Miami on March 9, Ennis saw his minutes cut back to 8:22, then 14:31 and finally 28:21, the latter his second-most minutes ever in a game (and coming one year and one day after his most). Ennis continues to seemingly provide a spark, however his +/- over the three games last week was a combine minus-19. Ennis should get minutes at least until Greivis Vasquez returns.

JOHN HENSON (Age 25, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 6.7 points (4.0), 3.8 rebounds (1.0), 1.0 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (1.0), 1.9 blocks (0.0), 16.4 minutes (6.0), 59.2 FG% (66.7), n/a 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 18.8 PER, 59.4 percent TS%, 18.5 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 105 DRtg, 0.7 VORP.

Notable: After missing 20 games, Henson returned by playing just under six minutes in Tuesday's loss at Toronto. We won't make any judgments off that game, but it will be interesting to see how much he can get himself back in the rotation, especially with the way Miles Plumlee has played. Either way, no one on the team is the defender / shot blocker that Henson is and his presence in that fashion is sorely needed.

DAMIEN INGLIS (Age 20, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 0.9 points (0.7), 0.9 rebounds (0.3), 0.2 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (0.3), 0.0 blocks (0.0), 4.5 minutes (2.3), 30.0 FG% (50.0), 16.7 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 2.7 PER, 41.0 percent TS%, 14.7 percent USG%, 70 ORtg, 106 DRtg, -0.1 VORP.

KHRIS MIDDLETON (Age 24, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 18.5 points (16.7), 4.0 rebounds (5.3), 4.2 assists (6.0), 1.6 steals (2.5), 0.2 blocks (3.7), 36.8 minutes (36.7), 43.5 FG% (51.2), 40.5 3PT% (27.3).

Advanced stats, season: 16.5 PER, 55.5 percent TS%, 23.0 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 110 DRtg, 1.4 VORP.

Notable: Middleton made 60.0 percent of his 2-point field-goal attempts as he cut down a bit on his 3-point attempts (11). He continues to do other things besides score, as well, as he had nearly had a triple-double against New Orleans (two assists shy) and had seven assists and five steals at Brooklyn.

JOHNNY O'BRYANT (Age 22, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.9 points (1.3), 2.6 rebounds (1.7), 0.5 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (0.7), 0.1 blocks (0.0), 13.3 minutes (15.0), 38.5 FG% (15.4), 1.000 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 7.1 PER, 43.6 percent TS%, 13.4 percent USG%, 95 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.6 VORP.

Notable: After not seeing double digits in minutes since Feb. 5, O'Bryant was on the court for at least 13 minutes in all three games last week. Will be interesting to see how his minutes change with the return of Henson.

JABARI PARKER (Age 20, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 13.5 points (18.7), 5.1 rebounds (4.7), 1.6 assists (1.3), 0.9 steals (1.3), 0.4 blocks (0.0), 31.0 minutes (37.3), 49.6 FG% (51.2), 22.2 3PT% (20.0).

Advanced stats, season: 14.7 PER, 53.4 percent TS%, 20.1 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 110 DRtg, -0.1 VORP.

Notable: Parker has had at least 15 points in every game since the All-Star break except one (and that was 13). He is averaging 9.9 more points since the break than before (21.2 compared to 11.3), which is the second-best differential in the NBA.

RASHAD VAUGHN (Age 19, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.4 points (0.0), 1.1 rebounds (0.7), 0.5 assists (0.3), 0.3 steals (0.3), 0.1 blocks (0.0), 11.8 minutes (10.6), 29.5 FG% (0.0), 30.2 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 4.0 PER, 43.6 percent TS%, 13.0 percent USG%, 84 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.8 VORP.

Notable: Another rough week for the 19-year-old, who didn't score and has just one field goal in March (a 3 against Chicago on March 7).
