Khris Middleton News, Rumors, Updates - Washington Wizards

Logs season-high 23 minutes Middleton totaled four points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 121-111 loss to Cleveland.

Impact Middelton exceeded 20 minutes for the first time this season, although he failed to make the most of his opportunity. Thus far, Middleton has looked like a shell of his former self, offering very little in terms of tangible production. In four appearances, he has averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game. Moving forward, phasing him out of the rotation could certainly be a direction Washington chooses.

Goes scoreless in loss Middleton racked up one rebound in 13 minutes during Monday's 110-103 loss to Charlotte.

Impact Middleton failed to attempt a shot during his brief appearance, finishing with a minus-17 rating. The veteran forward has played a limited role off Washington's bench to begin the season, making it difficult for him to provide consistent fantasy value. Unless his minutes increase significantly, Middleton remains an unappealing option outside the deepest leagues.

Adds five points in preseason finale Middleton amassed five points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 14 minutes in Friday's 107-106 preseason loss to the Pelicans.

Impact Middleton made his 2026 preseason debut in the Wizards' final exhibition game. The veteran forward struggled with efficiency but led the second unit in assists. He'll likely compete for playing time with Justin Champagnie and Will Riley behind Anthony Davis in the regular season.

Prepping for second Wizards stint Middleton got in a workout Thursday ahead of his second season with Washington.

Impact Middleton is in line for a different role with the new-look Wizards this time around, though. The veteran forward started each of his 34 appearances in Washington a year ago before being shipped to Dallas as part of the Anthony Davis trade, and he's positioned initially as Davis' primary backup at power forward leading into training camp. Middleton also routinely sat out one leg of back-to-back sets with the Wizards, so it remains to be seen if the team will have a similar workload management plan in store for him as well.
