You always remember your first: Recalling Twins' 1st MLB homers

Miguel Sano hit the first of what is expected to be many major-league home runs on Tuesday night in his sixth game with Minnesota. Sano is the second Twins player to hit his first MLB homer this season as Eddie Rosario accomplished the feat in memorable fashion earlier this year.

While Twins fans were rejoicing at Sano's blast, how many will remember the moment? A first MLB homer is certainly something players don't forget.

Some players get their first homer quickly into their career, others take a while. On the heels of Sano's initial homer, here's a listing of the first MLB home runs by this year's edition of the Minnesota Twins (with a couple of notable coaches thrown in).

Tom Brunansky: Third career game, April 11, 1981 at Seattle (with California) off Floyd Bannister in the top of the second with 0 out and nobody on. Brunansky would hit career HR No. 2 in the sixth inning off Bannister. Brunansky hit seven of his career home runs off Bannister, the most he had against any pitcher.

Brian Dozier: Seventh career game, May 13, 2012 vs. Toronto off Ricky Romero in the bottom of the third with two out and nobody on. HR hit on Mother's Day.

Eduardo Escobar: 65th career game, April 9, 2013 at Kansas City off Jeremy Guthrie with 0 out and nobody on.

Aaron Hicks: 24th career game, May 4, 2013 at Cleveland off Scott Kazmir in the top of the fifth with 0 out and nobody on.

Torii Hunter: 15th career game, April 15, 1999 at Detroit off Brian Moehler in the top of the fifth with 1 out and nobody on.

Joe Mauer: Sixth career game, June 6, 2004 vs. Detroit off Esteban Yan in the bottom of the eighth with two out and two on. The homer broke a 3-all tie as Minnesota won 6-5.

Tommy Milone: First career game, Sept. 3, 2011 vs. New York Mets (for Washington) off Dillon Gee in bottom of second with 1 out and 2 on. First at-bat in Milone's career. He has had 28 plate appearances since and had just three hits, all singles. Milone is the only active pitcher on the Twins' roster with a home run.

Paul Molitor: Second career game, April 8, 1978 vs. Baltimore (with Milwaukee) off Joe Kerrigan in the bottom of the fourth with 2 out and 2 on.

Ricky Nolasco: 13th career game, May 22, 2006 vs. Chicago Cubs (with Florida) off Sean Marshall in the bottom of the fourth with 0 out and nobody on. Homer came in his fifth career plate appearance. Nolasco has had 453 plate appearance since and that remains his only home run.

Eduardo Nunez: Ninth career game, Aug. 28, 2010 at Chicago White Sox (for New York Yankees) off John Danks in the second with 2 out and 1 on.

Trevor Plouffe: 10th career game, Aug. 7, 2010 at Cleveland off Roberto Hernandez in the top of the eighth with 0 out and nobody on.

Shane Robinson: 22nd career game, April 8, 2012 at Milwaukee (for St. Louis) off Kameron Loe in the top of the ninth with 2 out and 2 on. Robinson has five career HRs off five different pitchers and four of his homers have come in the seventh inning or later.

Eddie Rosario: First career game, May 6, 2015 vs. Oakland off Scott Kazmir in the bottom of the third with nobody on. First pitch Rosario ever saw in the majors.

Danny Santana: 20th career game, June 6, 2014 vs. Houston off Tony Sipp in the bottom of the seventh with 0 out and 1 on.

Kurt Suzuki: Fourth career game, June 19, 2007 vs. Cincinnati (with Oakland) off Todd Coffey in the bottom of the eighth with one out and nobody on.
