4 DAYS AGO • DEADSPIN.COM
Lands with Brewers Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact Rosario became a free agent Sunday after being pushed off Atlanta's 40-man roster, and he'll now attempt to work his way back into the majors with Milwaukee. The 33-year-old outfielder is 1-for-8 in three MLB games this season but has slashed an impressive .339/.406/.542 in Triple-A.

Heads to open market Atlanta announced Sunday that Rosario elected free agency after clearing waivers, Barrett Sallee of 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
Impact Rather than accepting an outright assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett, Rosario will explore his options on the open market before deciding on his next stop. After being designated for assignment by the Dodgers in late April, Rosario elected free agency and quickly caught on with Atlanta on a one-year deal. He appeared in just three games over his two weeks with the big club before being dropped from the 40-man roster May 9.
MAY 11 • ROTOWIRE
DFA'd by Atlanta Atlanta designated Rosario for assignment Friday.
Impact The veteran outfielder inked a one-year deal with Atlanta in late April and played in just three games over the past couple weeks, going 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Rosario will be jettisoned from the 40-man roster in favor of Luke Williams, who had his contract selected Friday.

Gets spot on big-league roster Rosario signed a one-year contract with Atlanta on Monday.
Impact Rosario will join Atlanta ahead of its three-game series in Colorado that begins Monday. The 33-year-old will begin his third stint in the Atlanta organization and could end up filling the strong side of a platoon in right field with Eli White until Ronald Acuna (knee) is ready to return from the injured list. Rosario struggled to a .531 OPS over 319 plate appearances between Washington and Atlanta in 2024 and logged four plate appearances with the Dodgers earlier this month before being cast off the 40-man roster and electing free agency. Before the Dodgers called him up April 18, the veteran outfielder had been hitting well at Triple-A Oklahoma City, slashing .339/.406/.542 with two home runs and three steals in 14 games.
APRIL 28 • ROTOWIRE
Elects free agency Rosario will enter free agency after declining a minor-league assignment from the Dodgers on Friday.
Impact Rosario was DFA'd by the Dodgers on April 20 and was initially outrighted to Triple-A after clearing waivers. As a veteran with requisite experience, Rosario opted to reject the assignment and will look to join a team in need of outfield depth. The 33-year-old appeared in 91 regular-season games between Washington and Atlanta in 2024 and slashed .175/.215/.316 with nine stolen bases, 33 runs scored, 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 319 plate appearances.

APRIL 20 • MLB.COM
Designated for assignment The Dodgers designated Rosario for assignment Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact The veteran outfielder joined the big-league roster Friday with Shohei Ohtani landing on the paternity list, but it will be a short stay in the majors with Ohtani rejoining the club Sunday. Rosario went 1-for-4 with a double in his two games with the team. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, he could elect free agency or return to Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he has a .948 OPS through 14 contests this year.
APRIL 20 • ROTOWIRE
Shohei Ohtani Not With Dodgers For Series Against Rangers The Dodgers called up outfielder Eddie Rosario as Shohei Ohtani’s replacement on the active roster.
APRIL 18 • NEWSOBSERVER.COM
Selected from OKC The Dodgers selected Rosario's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Impact With Shohei Ohtani away from the team for the birth of his first child, Rosario will come up from the minors to fill the void on the actvie roster. The 33-year-old has impressed while in Triple-A, slashing .339/.406/.542 with two homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases through 14 games, but he shouldn't be expected to contribute much while with the Dodgers. Edgardo Henriquez (foot) was transferred to the 60-day IL to make room for Rosario on the 40-man roster.
APRIL 18 • ROTOWIRE
Reassigned to minor-league camp Rosario was reassigned to minor-league camp Tuesday.
Impact Rosario signed a minor-league deal with Los Angeles in February and he'll now likely open the regular season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. The outfielder struggled to a .154 average with two home runs, five RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base over 26 at-bats in 12 games during spring training.

Lands in Los Angeles Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Rosario endured the worst season of his MLB career last year, slashing .175/.215/.316 with 35 RBI and nine stolen bases across 319 plate appearances between Washington in Atlanta. He'll now look to bounce back in the Dodgers' farm system, though the amount of talent Los Angeles has on its big-league roster doesn't bode well for Rosario's chances of getting reps in the majors.
FEBRUARY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Let go by Mets The Mets released Rosario on Sunday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
Impact Rosario has now parted ways with three teams in the National League East this season alone, as he was previously cut loose by Washington and Atlanta. Unlike those previous two stops, Rosario never received a look at the big-league level with the Mets, as he was assigned to Triple-A Syracuse upon signing with the organization on a minor-league deal earlier this month. He saw action in seven games for Syracuse, slashing .103/.133/.310 with eight strikeouts in 30 plate appearances.
AUGUST 25, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Gets minors deal from Mets Rosario signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Tuesday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.
Impact Rosario elected free agency Sunday after being DFA'd by Atlanta, and he didn't have to wait long for another opportunity. The 32-year-old has taken a major step back at the plate this season, slashing just .175/.215/.316 across 319 plate appearances between Atlanta and Washington, though he could claim a bench spot in New York if he's able to turn things around with Triple-A Syracuse.
AUGUST 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Hits open market Rosario elected free agency Sunday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact The 32-year-old rejected an outright assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett after being designated for assignment by Atlanta, and he'll now return to free agency. Rosario has a .175/.215/.316 slash line in 91 games between Washington and Atlanta this season.
AUGUST 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Outrighted to Gwinnett Rosario cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Gwinnett, Grant McAuley of 92.9 The Game Atlanta reports.
Impact Rosario was dropped from the 40-man roster Thursday after slashing just .154/.181/.282 in 24 plate appearances with Atlanta. No other team was willing to take a chance on the 32-year-old outfielder, so he'll remain stashed away in Atlanta's farm system as organizational depth.
AUGUST 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Removed from 40-man roster Atlanta designated Rosario for assignment Thursday.
Impact Rosario's reunion with Atlanta made sense on paper, but the results simply weren't there, with the veteran outfielder slashing just .154/.181/.282 with a 23:3 K:BB over 24 contests. The 32-year-old will pass through waivers and eventually be released, at which point he will seek a job in a new organization. For now, Adam Duvall will see more action in left field with Rosario out of the mix. However, Michael Harris (hamstring) is due back soon, at which point Jarred Kelenic will return to left field.
AUGUST 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Getting rare day off versus righty Rosario is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
Impact Atlanta is facing a right-handed starter (Freddy Peralta) for the ninth game in a row Wednesday, but the lefty-hitting Rosario will give way to the right-handed-hitting Adam Duvall for the first time during that stretch. Manager Brian Snitker might have just wanted to get Duvall some work to keep him sharp at the plate, but Rosario hasn't done much to justify maintaining a strong-side platoon role. Since joining Atlanta on July 8, Rosario is slashing .154/.181/.282 with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate.
AUGUST 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Pilfers bag in Wednesday's win Rosario went 0-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Brewers.
Impact He got the start in left field, batting sixth against right-hander Freddy Peralta, but Rosario was replaced by Adam Duvall in the seventh inning with lefty Jared Koenig on the mound. Trade deadline acquisition Jorge Soler is expected to start in right field, but Duvall and Rosario seem headed for a platoon in left, with the latter on the strong side of that arrangement. Manager Brian Snitker likely won't hesitate to play the hot hand if one of the two significant out-produces the other, however. Rosario is batting just .189 (7-for-37) over his last 12 games, but he does have three home runs and eight RBI over that stretch.
