Wisconsin-Hawaii pregame notes

Here are some notes, tidbits and stats heading for Saturday's game between the Wisconsin Badgers and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors:

-- This is the seventh meeting between Wisconsin and Hawaii with the Badgers leading the all-time series 5-1. The teams haven't met since 2009 and have played just once previously in Madison, in 1987. Hawaii's only win came in 1986.

-- Wisconsin has won 34 consecutive non-conference home games and overall is 70-7 at Camp Randall Stadium since the beginning of the 2004 season. A win against Hawaii would tie Nebraska (1992-2004) for the seventh-longest streak in NCAA history.

-- Hawaii has lost 11 of its last 12 road games vs. teams ranked in the AP top 25. The lone win was at Fresno State on Oct. 4, 2008.

-- The Badgers are 37-30 all-time in night games including 12-5 at home.

-- Since 1993, Wisconsin has played 17 night games against non-Power 5 schools and is 17-0 in those games.

-- Wisconsin is aiming to hold opponents to three points or less for the third consecutive game for the first time since 1937, when the Badgers opened the year with three straight shutouts.

-- Under Paul Chryst this season, Wisconsin is 2-0 when scoring first, 0-1 when the opponent scores first, 2-0 when leading after the first quarter, 0-1 when trailing after the first quarter, 2-0 when leading at halftime, 0-1 when trailing at halftime, 2-0 when leading after the third quarter and 0-1 when trailing after the third quarter.

-- A Badgers tight end hasn't had a 100-yard receiving game since Lance Kendricks did it in back-to-back weeks in 2010 vs. Arizona State on Sept. 18 and Austin Peay on Sept. 25, a 67-game drought.

-- Joel Stave has had back-back-to-back 200-yard passing games. He has never had four straight. The last Wisconsin QB to have four consecutive 200-yard passing games was Scott Tolzien from Nov. 14-Dec. 29, 2009 vs. Michigan (240), at Northwestern (235) at Hawaii (253) and vs. Miami (Fla.) (260). The last Wisconsin QB to have four straight 200-yard games in the regular season was John Stocco, who did it in seven consecutive games in 2005.

-- Stave had had 19 games in which he has thrown at least 19 passes. In those 19, he has thrown at least one interception in 15 of them.

-- By starting against Hawaii, Stave will pass Neil Graff for 5th place on UW's all-time quarterback games started list with 31.

-- Stave needs 14 passing yards to pass Brooks Bollinger for 3rd place on UW's all-time list.

-- Stave needs 25 pass attempts to pass Brooks Bollinger for 3rd place on UW's all-time list.

-- Stave needs 4 passing touchdowns to tie John Stocco for 2nd place on UW's all-time list.

-- Alex Erickson needs 21 receiving yards to pass Darrin Charles for 22nd place, 29 yards to pass Lance Kendricks for 20th place, 119 yards to pass Tom McCauley for 19th place and 134 yards to pass Michael Jones for 18th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Vince Biegel needs .5 sacks to tie Gary Casper and Rick Graf for 15th place, 1 sack to tie and 1.5 to pass Brendan Kelly for 14th place and 1.5 to tie and 2 to pass Jonathan Welsh for 13th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Drew Meyer needs 1 yard punting to pass Sam Veit for 5th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Meyer needs 6 punts to tie and 7 to pass Sam Veit for 4th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Rafael Gaglianone needs two field goals to tie and three to pass Vince Lamia for 9th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Gaglianone needs four extra points to tie and five to pass Matt Davenport for 9th place on UW's all-time list.

-- Gaglianone needs one more 50+-yard field goal to join Taylor Mehlhaff and Philip Welch as the only to have three FGs from 50+ in Wisconsin history (Mehlhaff 52, 51, 51; Welch 57, 52, 50; Gaglianone 51, 50).
