Williams: 'It's all about the city of Cleveland winning a championship'

Former Cavaliers point guard Mo Williams announced he was returning to Cleveland via free agency with an article in the Players' Tribune. Williams played with the Charlotte Hornets and the Minnesota Timberwolves last season.
In his article, entitled "Full Circle," in the Players' Tribune, Williams compared his time with Cavaliers in 2008-10 and the team he played with, to the current Cavs roster.
"On that first team in Cleveland, we were the young guys," Williams wrote, "LeBron, me, Anderson Varejao, Daniel Gibson - we were that team's Kyrie, Tristan or Shump."
Williams wants to be a leader for this team.
"Now that I'm in that position now, I want to bring that same urgency and perspective to the young guys." Williams wrote. "It's amazing how life comes right back around and you're in the same position again but in a different seat."
What brought him back to Cleveland: "It was an obvious decision: it's all about the city of Cleveland winning a championship," Williams wrote. "That's what brought me back."
Last season with the Hornets and Timberwolves, Williams averaged 14.2 PPG and 6.2 APG in 29.1 minutes per game. The point guard signed a two-year deal with the Cavaliers, per reports.
"The quest for a ring begins now," Williams wrote. "To steal a line from my new and former teammate ... I'm coming home!"
