For the second straight weeked rain threatened the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. At 6 p.m. ET, NASCAR officials made the call to postpone the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway until 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

However, the competitors and fans still showed up to RIR on Saturday expecting a delay, but hoping for the best. See how the NASCAR community waited on the rain in Richmond.

Most people at RIR have spent their day watching the radar and hoping for good news.

The rain did not stop teams from preparing their cars for the intense action at the Richmond short track.

Drivers also spent the day visiting with sponsors, hospitality guests and fans.

Even the wives and girlfriends are tired of the rain. Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s girlfriend Amy Reimann put her knife skills to use inside the motor home.

When the official word came down, Kasey Kahne was one of the first to share the news on Twitter.
