To tweet, or not to tweet: That's the question for Carl Edwards
Now that it's official that Carl Edwards will join Joe Gibbs Racing next year, suddenly the pressure to perform has ratcheted up exponentially for the 35-year-old Missouri native.
We're not talking about performing on the track, mind you. Edwards already has an established track record of success at NASCAR's highest level, having twice been the championship runner-up.
No, we're talking pressure to get out of the stone age and on to social media. With new sponsor ARRIS Group Inc. being a communications technology firm and JGR teammates Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch being all social media savvy, will Twitterless Carl finally break down and get on Twitter?
"Twitterless Carl. That's great. I saw that," Edwards told FOXSports.com Tuesday at his announcement. "We had a conversation the other day. Trust me, I'm getting a lot of pressure to be on social media. I don't know. We'll see. Someday, I might do it."
