San Diego Buzz: Chargers stay Home for 2016 season

SAN DIEGO -- Chargers chairman Dean Spanos just made alot of people happy. Just recently, a statement from Spanos was made to Chargers fans on the decision to keep the Chargers in San Diego for the 2016 season. Spanos also hopes to reach a long term deal with the city of San Diego to keep the Chargers in San Diego past the 2016 season.

Blake Griffin's hand must be okay enough to use. He sent an apology on Twitter to the Clippers' equipment manager he punched. Griffin continues to be sidelined.  

 

The Padres lost Ian Kennedy to the Kansas City Royals and Justin Upton to the Detroit Tigers, but gained extra picks in the 2016 MLB draft in addition to having the 8th overall pick. The Padres will have six of the first 85 draft picks this year and will look to bolster their farm system.

San Diego State has been on a tear since conference play started. With a close win against Nevada on Tuesday night, the Aztecs improved to 8-0 in the Mountain West. Nevada held on to a seven-point lead with six minutes left, but clutch play from Winston Shepard, Jeremy Hemsley and Trey Kell set up Zylan Cheathem to ice the game with two free throws. The Aztecs won 57-54.  

San Diego legend Ron Burgundy is back and he's taking to the ice. Gulls goaltender Ryan Faragher designed a mask featuring Ron Burgundy and his famous quote "You stay classy, San Diego."
