RG3's cast auctioned for thousands to fan who says 'I love feet'

It might be a tad gross, but it's for a good cause.

If you remember, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III dislocated his ankle early in the 2014 season and was forced to a wear a cast for a short period of time.

Well, RG3 put the cast, now signed by the entire team, up for auction and amazingly, someone bought it for $1,522. Don't worry, the money isn't going into Griffin's pocket as the proceeds have been donated to his charity.

And the man who bought it, Redskins fan Rich Bruno, couldn't be happier. He's such as a dedicated fan that he told the Washington Post that he cried when RG3 went down with said injury.

Bruno posted a message on his Facebook page, explaining what the cast means to him:

"19 months ago, I enrolled in podiatry school. At that moment, what I loved most in life was the Redskins. They're still a huge part of me. As time has gone on though, my life has been consumed by feet, and I have loved every second of it. I love feet. I love podiatry. I love the thought of making a difference in so many people's lives."

Well, there you go. The man loves feet and the Redskins. Nothing like having both dreams fulfilled in one swoop. However, there is one lingering issue.

Anyone who has ever worn a cast knows they can get a tad foul-smelling after a short while. Here's hoping RG3 at least had it cleaned before handing it over.
