Report: Some NFL teams consider Manziel undraftable

Despite the eye-popping numbers Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel continues to put up, his NFL future remains cloudy.

Manziel, who is eligible for the NFL Draft following his redshirt sophomore season, could pay the price for his off-field exploits at the next level.

According to SI.com's Peter King, some NFL teams wouldn't consider drafting Manziel.

"But Manziel, to many teams right now, would be undraftable because they're scared of his mood swings and off-field questions. But it only takes one team out of 32 to fall for him. And some team will, unless he self-destructs between today and draft day," King wrote.

The Heisman Trophy winner is coming off a game in which he accounted for a school record 464 passing yards against top-ranked Alabama.

Manziel critics believe that his off-field exploits, which have included an arrest, an NCAA investigation numerous social-media miscues, will impact his draft stock.

Some NFL scouts are also concerned about his size, as Manziel is listed at 6-1 but that may be a stretch.

Of course Manziel could make all the draft talk a moot point if he decides to remain at A&M following the season. He still has two years of eligibility remaining if he elects to stay in school.
