Panthers sign 2014 second-round pick Jayce Hawryluk to entry level contract

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced Tuesday that forward Jayce Hawryluk has agreed to terms on an entry level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 20-year old Hawryluk has recorded 79 points (30-49-79) in 49 games with the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL) this season. In the month of February, Hawryluk recorded 33 points (7-26-33) in 13 games. In that span, Hawryluk registered 10 multi-point games, including a WHL career-high six point performance (2-4-6) on Feb. 17.

The 5-foot-10, 194-pound native of Roblin, Manitoba, has played in 223 WHL games all with Brandon and has recorded 251 points (102-149-251). Hawryluk was originally selected by Florida in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
