Pacers waive Jarrod Uthoff
With the Indiana Pacers getting ready for their first regular season game on Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, they're in the final stages of trimming their roster. They continued that process on Sunday, announcing that they have waived 6-foot-9 forward Jarrod Uthoff.
The 24-year-old Uthoff made his NBA debut last season, playing in nine games with the Dallas Mavericks and averaging 12.8 minutes, 4.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He saw action in two of the Pacers' four preseason games earlier this month, averaging 15.0 minutes, 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
After waiving three players on Saturday and Uthoff on Sunday, the Pacers now have 14 players on NBA contracts, plus their two players on two-way contracts, Alex Poythress and Edmond Sumner.
