Pacers' GRIII selected to compete in Slam Dunk contest

Glenn Robinson III's high-flying athleticism will be on full display during NBA All-Star weekend.
Robinson, the Pacers' third-year guard/forward, was selected to compete in the Verizon Slam Dunk contest Feb. 18 in New Orleans. Also selected were Orlando's Aaron Gordon (the runner-up last season), DeAndre Jordan of the Clippers and Phoenix's Derrick Jones Jr.
Robinson's impressive dunking ability has been more evident this season as his responsibilities with Indiana have increased. The 6-foot-6 swingman has started 24 of 46 games this season and is averaging 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
The Pacers' only previous winner in the Slam Dunk competition was Fred Jones, the 2004 champion. Paul George was part of an Eastern Conference team effort that won the contest in 2014.
