NBA Summer League recap: D-League Select 91, Bucks 86

The Milwaukee Bucks followed up a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in their summer-league opener with a 91-86 loss to the NBA D-League Select Team, as second-year guard Rashad Vaughn impressed in Las Vegas.

Vaughn led the Bucks in scoring with 24 points, connecting on 10 of his 18 field goals, while hitting three 3-pointers.

The Bucks shot 43.2 percent from the field -- up from 38.5 percent in their summer-league debut -- while the D-League shot 44.4 percent.

Georgetown product Jabril Trawick led the D-League in scoring, racking up 15 points off the bench, while Oklahoma City's Talib Zanna scored 12 points off of the bench.

Starting five: Milwaukee once again rolled out Malcolm Brogdon and Rashad Vaughn in the backcourt, alongside Terran Petteway, Thon Maker and Joshua Smith in the front court.

Draft-pick report: Maker led the Bucks in minutes, playing just under 33 minutes against the select team, while picking up his second double-double in as many games, scoring 17 points and adding 17 rebounds. Second-round pick Malcolm Brogdon was no slouch, clocking in at 30:22 whipe chipping in 14 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Stat corner: The Bucks out-rebounded the D-League 48 to 30... The Bucks went to the free-throw line just 13 times (9-for-13) while the D-League went 27-for-39... Milwaukee shot just 28 percent (7-for-25) from 3-point range, while the D-League shot 36.4 percent (8-for-22).

Next: The Bucks return to action at 3 p.m. on Monday, taking on the Memphis Grizzlies.
