Minor league player charges mound after being hit, tackles pitcher

Sunday's game between the Frisco RoughRiders and the Corpus Christi Hooks saw both benches clear and three players get ejected after pitcher Yohander Mendez plunked Corpus Christi's Danry Vasquez, which caused Vasquez to charge the mound and pick a fight. Mendez tried to fend off Vasquez by tossing his glove at the batter, but he was tackled to the ground.

It was the second wild minor league brawl in the last 10 days. Earlier this month, a Can-Am League player sprinted behind home plate to take out a player in the opposing dugout.
