Urban Meyer is 2-0 as a head coach in the Ohio State-Michigan game, but could he have ever played in The Game?
He was a football player at Ashtabula St. John's High School in northeast Ohio and a good enough athlete to be drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1982. He also grew up admiring the Ohio State football program of Woody Hayes in the 1970s, but what about donning scarlet and gray himself?
Meyer named one person who believed in him, but it was not the head coach of the Buckeyes.
